Every country an act has travelled from to play Roskilde. Each act counts once for every festival edition in the archive. The bigger the pin, the more appearances — tap one to meet the acts.
About this archive
Orange History is a fan-built virtual museum of Roskilde Festival covering every year since 1971, every artist, every country, and the recurring patterns of crowds, ticket prices and rainfall.
This is a labour of love, not an official channel. Orange History is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for Roskilde Festival. Posters and photographs belong to their respective owners and are shown here for reference only.
The lineups, stories and numbers have been hand-collected since 2018 from public sources. It is a best-effort archive: gaps, typos and the odd disputed fact are inevitable. Ticket prices are recalculated into 2026 money using Danish inflation factors so they can be compared across the years.
2020 and 2021 are absent because the festival was cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent-year figures are hand-collected and may still be corrected as better sources appear.
Every act is automatically tagged with a single primary genre from its main style. These tags are an approximation, not an official Roskilde category. It's useful for spotting broad trends across decades, but never the last word on any one artist.
